    Hey Goofball – thanks for being such a dedicated visitor. These are the windowboxes of a brownstone one block from the original Cheers bar and across the street to the entrance of the Boston Public Garden. Every year the owner lines the boxes with sneakers and puts little plants in them in honor of the Marathon. They are a Boston tradition.
